In his Mann Ki Baat address on Akashvani, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, progress in the Census 2027, cleanliness drives, drug prevention initiatives, and the One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in his Mann Ki Baat programme on Akashvani, where he highlighted three bold examples of India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. These include the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan in 2016, the Balakot airstrike in 2019, and Operation Sindoor in 2025. The Prime Minister emphasized that these operations demonstrated a new approach to India’s counter-terrorism policy.

In another development, Mr Modi spoke about Census 2027, stating that the first phase of the ongoing exercise is nearing completion across all States and Union Territories. Over 32 crore families' data has already been recorded so far, and he urged people to participate in the drive and use the self-enumeration facility.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for greater public participation in cleanliness drives ahead of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on 2nd October. He cited examples of cleanliness initiatives from across the country.

Mr Modi spoke about the Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan, a drug prevention initiative, and called for collective efforts to build a drug-free youth. As part of the 100-week campaign, he announced health check-ups and meditation camps. Lastly, speaking about the ODOP initiative, Prime Minister Modi highlighted its benefits for amla growers and entrepreneurs in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
