Indian national Captain Smit Machchhar, the pilot of FlyDubai flight FZ 1073, has been shifted to Abu Dhabi for continued medical attention after receiving initial treatment in Saudi Arabia. The Indian Ambassador in UAE met him and assured support.
The External Affairs Ministry is closely monitoring the health condition of Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian national who bravely piloted FlyDubai flight FZ 1073. After initial medical treatment in a hospital in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, he has been moved to Abu Dhabi for continued care and recovery. The Indian Ambassador in the UAE met Captain Machchhar in the hospital and enquired about his well-being. Previously, the Ambassador also met his family and assured all possible support for his health and well-being. The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai are maintaining close contact with local authorities regarding this matter. The External Affairs Ministry once again saluted Captain Smit Machchhar's valour and courage, and conveyed deep appreciation for the admiration and support he has received globally for his act of gallantry.
