Mohan Bhagwat, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, alleges foreign forces are attempting to destabilise India. Meanwhile, two Indian citizens face charges of election fraud in the United States.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has issued a warning against 'demonic forces' from the West that are trying to destabilise India. The RSS is the parent organisation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. According to Bhagwat, these foreign forces aim to destroy all that is decent, auspicious, and rooted in cultural and human values.
He asserted that 'regime change will not happen' in India, adding that such a move would not alter circumstances or address fundamental problems. He further claimed that 'a storm has swept in from the West to destroy all that is decent, auspicious, and rooted in cultural and human values.' Bhagwat also mentioned that even developed nations are afflicted by this storm.
Separately, two Indian citizens have been charged with election fraud in the United States. Amandeep Kaur and Kamlesh Shah were among 28 green card holders charged with election crimes in California. According to the US Department of Justice, Shah registered on election day in November 2024, while Kaur registered in December 2022 and voted in the presidential election. Both face felony charges, although it was unclear whether they were among the 11 people arrested in raids across California.
