Following an ambush that resulted in the death of three innocent civilians, the CRPF has conducted a joint operation with local police and other agencies to take over the Sinai Camp, a designated camp of Kuki militant groups under Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement.
In Manipur, the CRPF's CoBRA Battalion, along with Manipur Police and other agencies, has conducted a successful operation to take over Sinai Camp, which is a camp of Kuki militant groups under Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Government. This operation was initiated following the killing of three Meitei civilians in an ambush near the camp. During the operation, 17 individuals impersonating registered SoO cadres using false identities were found within the camp. Initially designed to house approximately 150 cadres, only these 17 were identified during the search.
Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited the camp and was briefed by officers of the CRPF and Assam Rifles on the operation conducted and the prevailing law and order situation in the area. The Chief Minister commended the CRPF’s CoBRA Battalion for its courage and valour, particularly for its leading role in the successful operation that led to total control of the camp.
