The Ministry of Finance has released notifications detailing changes in fuel export duties for petrol, diesel, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). The new rates involve adjustments to the levy on petrol exports, an increase in the export duty on diesel, and a rise in the levy on ATF.
The Centre has withdrawn the special additional excise duty on petrol exports, a change from the previous levy of 2 rupees 50 paise per litre. This adjustment means that petrol exports will no longer attract an export duty under the revised rates. The export duty on diesel has been increased from eight rupees 50 paise to 11 rupees 50 paise per litre, while the levy on ATF has been raised from 10 rupees 50 paise to 11 rupees per litre. These changes come as part of the government's ongoing fortnightly review of fuel export duties in response to international price fluctuations.
The notifications issued by the Ministry of Finance detail these adjustments, providing clarity on the new rates for petrol, diesel, and ATF exports.
