The Indian Air Force Educational & Cultural Society has on-boarded forty two Air Force Schools onto ScrollControl, a child digital safety programme to protect students from online risks.
On November 2nd, 2026, the Indian Air Force Educational & Cultural Society, under the aegis of Air Headquarters, launched an initiative to enhance cyber safety within its schools community. This initiative saw the implementation of ScrollControl, a comprehensive Child Digital Safety Programme through Information Sharing and Analysis Center Foundation (ISAC).
As part of this programme, two hundred and sixty-one teachers from forty two Air Force Schools have been certified as Cyber Crime Intervention Officers. This certification equips them to safeguard students from online grooming and exploitation, misuse of artificial intelligence, gaming-related harms, and financial frauds. Additionally, they can preserve digital evidence and act as first responders.
With increasing access to affordable high-speed internet, smart devices, and social media, school-going children are heavily exposed to unregulated digital spaces predominantly designed for adults. To ensure the safety of these students in the cyber realm, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has mandated affiliated schools to incorporate cyber safety best practices through monthly observances of Cyber Jagrookta Diwas.
This initiative enables Air Force Schools to align with this requirement by having trained in-house capability.
