The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) organizes a Mega Camp in collaboration with State Bank of India to facilitate submission of Digital Life Certificates on November 2, 2026. SBI extends assistance through special DLC camps across 115 cities and dedicated support teams.
On November 2, 2026, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, organized a Mega Camp in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI) at the NDCC Convention Centre, New Delhi. This event was part of the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5, which aimed to facilitate technology-driven, accessible, and pensioner-friendly services for Digital Life Certificate submission.
Addressing the gathering, the Secretary of DoPPW, Ms Nivedita Shukla Verma emphasized that digital empowerment of pensioners is a significant component of the Government’s Ease of Living commitment. She highlighted how technological advancements, particularly face authentication, have simplified the process of submitting life certificates, allowing pensioners to generate Digital Life Certificates independently through smartphones without visiting banks or other offices.
Secretary Shukla Verma also commended SBI's contribution to the initiative. She stated that during the previous year’s campaign, SBI had facilitated approximately 25 lakh Digital Life Certificates. As part of the current campaign, SBI is conducting special DLC camps across 115 cities and extending assistance through its branches and dedicated support teams.
In addition to these efforts, SBI has undertaken initiatives to expand coverage among its pensioners and facilitate access to digital services, including special arrangements at branches with a substantial pensioner population. Joint Secretary DoPPW Sh Dhrubajyoti Sengupta urged all pensioners to make use of the facilities available under the campaign and encourage fellow pensioners to adopt digital services, thereby contributing to a more accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric pension delivery system.
The event at NDCC Convention Centre attracted enthusiastic participation from pensioners and senior citizens.
