Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with 400 selected youth participants from across India, who took part in the two-phase Viksit Vibrant Village Programme held in June 2026.
On July 26, 2026, at 4:30 PM, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will engage with participants of the second phase of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) through video conferencing. Conceptualized by MY Bharat to realize the Prime Minister's vision of integrating India's border villages into the nation, the programme spanned over two months from June 4 to June 30, 2026. The programme covered a total of 74 vibrant villages in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
The selection process for participants involved a nationwide online quiz competition that attracted more than three lakh youth. Out of which, over 400 were chosen to take part in the programme and live with local communities. Their activities included Swachhta drives, awareness campaigns on Government schemes, cultural exchange programmes, tree plantation drives, Mini Model Panchayat simulations, interactions with local artisans, and visits to institutions of strategic importance.
The VVP aimed to provide participants with a first-hand exposure to the socio-economic landscape, cultural heritage, and developmental aspirations of India's frontier regions. Additionally, it fostered community participation, national integration, and a deeper understanding of the strategic importance of border villages.
