Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed joy over the passage of the National Honour Insult Prevention (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha. In a statement, Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership and said that this bill further strengthens the resolve of 'Nation First'. He noted that the nation is currently commemorating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram by rendering the national song in all six stanzas, and that on Thursday, the Lok Sabha achieved a historic milestone by passing this bill. According to Dr. Yadav, through this legislation, 'Vande Mataram' will also receive legal protection equivalent to that accorded to the National Anthem. He views the bill as a powerful symbol of every citizen's self-respect, unwavering reverence for the motherland, and commitment to upholding national values.
Dr. Yadav further stated that this Bill was passed under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who he believes has been instrumental in strengthening the nation's resolve.
