On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel presided over the celebration of 'World Scout Scarf Day' at Lok Bhavan in Madhya Pradesh. During the event, he administered the Scouts and Guides pledge to the office-bearers of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, a tradition that marks the occasion. In recognition of his role as the State Patron of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Governor Shri Patel was honored with the Scouts and Guides scarf, a bouquet, and a memento. The additional Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Shri Rajeev Jain, State Secretary Shri Dhirendra Mishra, Joint State Secretary Smt. Janaki Singh is, and State Training Commissioner Shri B.L. Sharma were also present at the celebration. The occasion served as a reminder that World Scout Scarf Day is observed every year on August 1 to celebrate the spirit and values of the global Scouting and Guiding movement.
