Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressing the 7th International Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition-2026

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav showcased Madhya Pradesh's green energy achievements, investment-friendly policies, and future plans in the renewable energy sector during the 7th International Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition-2026.

At the conference, Madhya Pradesh presented a comprehensive presentation outlining its achievements and future roadmap in the renewable energy sector. The inaugural session was attended by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Shri Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for Heavy Industries Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, Bhutan's Minister for Energy and Natural Resources H.E. Lyonpo Gem Tshering, Sri Lanka's Energy Minister Shri Anura Karunathilaka, Additional Chief Secretary, New and Renewable Energy, Madhya Pradesh, Shri Manu Srivastava, along with policymakers, industry leaders, and energy experts from India and abroad.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that investment-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and abundant natural resources are rapidly transforming the state into one of India's leading green energy hubs. He informed that Madhya Pradesh has seen a nearly 25-fold increase in its renewable energy capacity over the past 12 years, rising from 438 MW to more than 11,000 MW.

The Chief Minister also discussed several key projects, including the 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project, which achieved a national benchmark by offering solar power at a lower tariff than coal-based power for the first time in India. The project received the World Bank Group President's Award for Excellence and is taught as a case study at Harvard University.

Madhya Pradesh also showcased its initiatives in battery energy storage systems, rooftop solar projects, and international partnerships to strengthen energy security, advance green technologies, promote innovation, and foster international cooperation.
