The 11th BRICS Culture Ministers’ Meeting, held in Bhopal under India’s chairmanship, adopted the Bhopal Declaration to strengthen cultural cooperation among member and partner countries. The meeting was attended by representatives from 14 nations.
On the occasion of the 11th BRICS Culture Ministers’ Meeting, held in Bhopal today under India's BRICS Chairship, discussions were centered around promoting cultural and creative industries and creating opportunities for artists. The meeting focused on utilizing digital platforms to help artists reach wider markets and protecting and restoring cultural heritage as key aspects.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat emphasized the importance of safeguarding traditional knowledge, languages, folk music, and cultural traditions for future generations during his press conference. He highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s culture and heritage, stating that it received special focus at the meeting. Mr. Shekhawat stressed the need for all countries to work together to protect these cultural traditions.
The Bhopal Declaration, adopted by the meeting, aims to strengthen cultural cooperation among BRICS member and partner countries. The delegates from 14 countries, including 10 BRICS members and four partner countries, participated in the meeting.
