Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has highlighted the significance of Balram Krishi Mahotsav as more than just a farmer's festival; it is a celebration of India’s rich agricultural culture. This annual event, currently being organized across all districts in the state, features exhibitions showcasing advanced agricultural practices.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has instructed the Culture Department to organize various cultural activities during Balram Krishi Mahotsav. The Chief Minister suggests utilizing this opportunity to educate farmers about India’s cultural heritage and the achievements of the state government in an engaging and entertaining manner.

The Chief Minister also addressed a review meeting on preparations for Independence Day and other festivals, emphasizing the importance of celebrating these occasions with enthusiasm and fervour. Comprehensive arrangements have been outlined for Kanwariyas during their travel towards Shiva temples, ensuring their smooth movement, food, drinking water, and security.

Bharat Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas will be observed on August 14 with a painting exhibition at Shaurya Smarak. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will inaugurate and visit the exhibition. Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 28 as Raksha Parv, observing it as a national festival celebrating social bonds.

Balram Jayanti will be celebrated on September 2 with performances based on traditional art forms related to agriculture. The Department of Sports and Youth Welfare will organize sports competitions in rural areas, while the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department will organize exhibitions and interactive sessions focusing on modern agricultural equipment, fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural medicines.

The Culture Department will also organize ‘Shri Krishna Parv’ across Madhya Pradesh from August 29 to September 6. A seven-day Shri Raas Leela festival will be organized at Ravindra Bhavan from August 29 to September 4, along with several other programs.
