Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav pays tribute to late former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his Death Anniversary, acknowledging his deep emotional bond with the state and his contributions to Indian politics.
On Sunday, the eighth Punya Tithi (Death Anniversary) of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, the grateful nation paid a humble tribute to the revered leader.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav offered floral tributes at the life-size statue of Late Atal Ji installed near Shaurya Smarak in Madhya Pradesh. He acknowledged that Atal Ji had a deep and emotional bond with Madhya Pradesh beyond it being his birthplace, as the state was also closely connected with his karmabhoomi and his public life.
Dr. Yadav praised Atal Ji as a great statesman and a symbol of India’s democratic consciousness, patriotism, and human sensitivity, whose personality transcended the boundaries of politics. He highlighted that late Atal Ji's voice, which emerged from the streets of Gwalior, enhanced India’s prestige not only across the country but around the world.
The Chief Minister noted the simplicity, sensitivity, dedication to the nation, and exceptional oratory skills of late Atal Ji. He emphasized that Atal Ji's thoughts and values gave a new direction to Indian politics by viewing power as a means for serving the nation rather than an end in itself.
Dr. Yadav stated that the memories of late Atal Ji live on not just through statues and memorials but also in the hearts of Madhya Pradesh's people. He mentioned that his journey from the streets of Gwalior to the highest democratic forum of the country inspires ordinary citizens to give a new direction to the nation’s future.
