On August 17, 2026, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh addressed the Officer Trainees of the Indian Defence Estates Service (2025 Batch) during their training at NIDEM in New Delhi.
The officer trainees, currently undergoing their training at the National Institute of Defence Estates Management (NIDEM), had a meeting with Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh on August 17, 2026, in New Delhi. During this meeting, Shri Rajnath Singh acknowledged the significance of the Defence Estates Department in managing defence land and the municipal administration of Cantonment Boards across India.
He underscored the crucial role public servants play in meeting the ever-evolving aspirations of citizens and encouraged them to deliver services with 'Seva Bhav' (service attitude). Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that officers should regularly engage with the public, listen to their concerns, and instill a sense of assurance.
The Defense Minister also highlighted the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being for public servants. He urged them to follow a spiritual path and practice meditation to ensure overall health.
Director General Defence Estates Smt Shobha Gupta was present during the interaction.
