India dismantled an ISI-backed terror group known as the Shahzad Bhatti network, arrested over 200 members, and recovered weapons in a nationwide operation under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the successful operation against an ISI-backed terror network as a clear indication of India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. In a post on social media platform 'X', Dr. Yadav stated that following the historic success against Naxalism, India will continue to take decisive action against every element that poses a threat to the country's security.
Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah informed the nation through another post on X about the dismantling of the Shahzad Bhatti network ahead of Independence Day. The Modi Government arrested more than 200 members of this terrorist group, foiled their plans to carry out attacks, and simultaneously conducted operations at multiple locations across 14 states.
Shri Shah further revealed that a large quantity of material was recovered from the ISI-funded group, including IEDs, grenades with Pakistan Ordnance Factories markings, pistols, live ammunition, and CCTV cameras allegedly used for surveillance and espionage. The network had been involved in several terrorist activities.
