PM Narendra Modi announces financial aid of Rs. 2 lakh for each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for each injured individual following the unfortunate incident in Lakhisarai, Bihar.

On August 17, 2026, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh for each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for each injured individual from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) following the unfortunate incident in Lakhisarai, Bihar.

According to a post on the Prime Minister's Office's social media platform, PM @narendramodi announced the financial aid for the victims. The post also stated that the next of kin of each deceased would receive Rs. 2 lakh, and the injured individuals would get Rs. 50,000.

The unfortunate incident in Lakhisarai, Bihar is the context in which this financial aid has been announced.
