The security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have launched extensive search operations at several locations across Udhampur, Reasi, and Kathua districts today, following credible reports suggesting the movement of suspected individuals. In addition to these areas, search operations are being conducted in the Sadini forests in Reasi and in several villages near the International Border in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua.
These operations are ongoing in all areas, with more details expected to be released as they become available. On a separate note, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, visited forward areas along the Line of Control in Poonch district yesterday.
During his visit, he emphasized the importance of continued vigilance and innovative strategies to tackle evolving security challenges. The Army General inspected the operational readiness of the formations and interacted with troops deployed on the borders. He was updated on the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness, and the challenges associated with patrolling in challenging terrain.
Furthermore, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma appreciated the resilience demonstrated by troops serving in forward areas, despite demanding terrain and weather conditions.
