Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated two state-of-the-art manufacturing units in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, with a combined investment of ₹850 crore. The new industrial units will strengthen the State’s industrial capabilities and create new employment opportunities for hundreds of youth.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated two modern industrial units in the Pithampur Industrial Area, Madhya Pradesh on August 20, 2026. The newly inaugurated units belong to the Pratap Group—Corsis Industries and Walters Technologies—and were established at Smart Industrial Park with a combined investment of ₹850 crore. The units are expected to create around 550 new direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister addressed the inauguration programme, stating that the new industrial units would further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s industrial capabilities in high-technology manufacturing and clean energy. He emphasized the importance of creating maximum employment opportunities for youth and strengthening the economy as a top priority.
Corsis Industries established an optical fibre manufacturing plant at Plot No. 98, with an annual production capacity of 5.5 million fibre kilometres. The unit will create around 300 new direct and indirect employment opportunities. Walters Technologies Private Limited has established a plant with a production capacity of 3 GWh, expected to generate around 250 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The State Government provides financial assistance of up to ₹5,000 per worker for employment-generating industrial units. Special attention is given to providing electricity, water, roads, and other essential infrastructure. Industrial activities have already begun to create possibilities for direct and indirect employment, with the aim to ensure rapid growth in employment opportunities alongside investment.
