
Smt. Annpurna Devi, Union Minister of Women and Child Development, chaired a meeting to review the progress of various schemes under Mission Shakti, Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, and Mission Vatsalya in West Bengal. The meeting also discussed the effective use of digital platforms like the Poshan Tracker and the PMMVY portal.
On August 20, 2026, Smt. Annpurna Devi, Union Minister of Women and Child Development, chaired a review meeting at Kolkata for the schemes being implemented in West Bengal by her ministry. The meeting was attended by Smt Savitri Thakur, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Government of West Bengal; Smt Malati Rava Roy, Minister of State (Independent Charge); Shri Anil Malik, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt of India; and senior officers from the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Women & Child Development & Social Welfare Department and the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal. During the meeting, Smt. Devi stressed on time-bound implementation of schemes at the ground level, transparency, and real-time monitoring to ensure they reach intended beneficiaries. The Minister expressed her gratitude towards the officers of the State Government for their participation. She also expressed confidence that with better coordination and a shared commitment, West Bengal will be able to deliver the full benefits of these schemes to its women and children. The meeting reviewed the progress of the schemes under Mission Shakti, Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, and Mission Vatsalya in West Bengal. Effective use of digital platforms such as the Poshan Tracker, the PMMVY portal etc was also discussed.
