Mohd Ayaz Raina, a lecturer in Botany at Government Higher Secondary School Dalhori, Rajouri, has been chosen as the only recipient of the National Award to Teachers 2026 for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The award will be conferred on September 5.
In a significant achievement for both the frontier district of Rajouri and the education sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Mohd Ayaz Raina, a teacher at Government Higher Secondary School Dalhori, has been selected as the recipient of the National Award to Teachers 2026. This marks the first time a recipient from Jammu and Kashmir has been chosen for this award.
Raina is currently a lecturer in Botany at Government Higher Secondary School Dalhori, making him the only awardee from the Union Territory this year. The award will be conferred on Teachers’ Day on September 5.
