India's Defense Research and Development Organisation successfully tests MCPS at high altitude and low temperature, a significant step towards self-reliance in defense technology.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed his delight over the successful trial of the indigenously developed Military Combat Parachute System (MCPS) by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The MCPS, fully equipped with indigenous technology from its parachute computer to oxygen system, was tested at an altitude of 22,000 feet in Nyoma, Ladakh, at a temperature of -15°C. This achievement is under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and is expected to further enhance the Indian Army’s high-altitude operational capabilities, thereby strengthening self-reliance in defence technology. Dr. Yadav has congratulated the Central Government and DRDO on this significant step towards a self-reliant India in the defense sector.
