During a visit to Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology in Erode, India's Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan emphasized the need for educational institutions to evolve into global centers of knowledge, research, and innovation.
On August 29, 2026, Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan graced the Founders’ Day Celebrations and inaugurated 'Arivukoodam' at the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology (KVIT) Trust in Perundurai, Erode. During his address, he appreciated the vision of KVIT's 41 founders and acknowledged their significant contribution to the growth of education in the Kongu region.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of moving from basic education towards research-oriented education and urged the youth to engage in research, innovation, and patents. He highlighted that this would prepare them for emerging fields such as AI, robotics, semiconductors, quantum technology, biotechnology, and digital technology.
He also encouraged young people to recognize their strengths, set clear goals, and persevere without comparing themselves with others. The Vice President emphasized the benefits of yoga and meditation, quoting Swami Vivekananda: 'You become what you think'.
Furthermore, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan commended KVIT's global linkages with countries including Germany, the US, France, and Japan, and expressed confidence that 'Arivukoodam' would become a hub for research, innovation, and knowledge creation, strengthening KVIT institutions as global knowledge centres contributing to social transformation and national development.
Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan also visited an exhibition organized by the Technology Business Incubator of Kongu Engineering College showcasing innovative projects and technological solutions. In his presence, MoUs were exchanged between Anchor Industries and Arivukoodam – A Research Park, further strengthening collaboration between industry and academia and promoting research and innovation.
