Last night at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India triumphed over Afghanistan in the second T20 International match. This victory not only marked a win for India but also ensured an unassailable lead of 2-nil in the ongoing three-match series. The target set by Afghanistan was 160 runs, a figure that India surpassed with ease, reaching 163 for 3 in 14.5 overs. Sanju Samson showcased his batting prowess with a blistering 57 off just 22 balls, while Abhishek Sharma contributed significantly with 39 runs off 19 balls. Ishan Kishan remained unbeaten on 38 off 23 balls to guide India home. Earlier in the match, Afghanistan had managed to score 159 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Ibrahim Zadran was their top scorer, amassing 37 runs off 33 balls. For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy bagged three wickets, and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets. Remarkably, Reddy was adjudged Player of the Match. The third and final match of the series will take place at the same venue in Delhi tomorrow.
