The second SECL Vishwakarma Awards were held on 17 Sep 2026 at the SECL Headquarters in Bilaspur, marking Vishwakarma Jayanti and the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. A total of 75 regular and contractual workers from various departments were felicitated for their exceptional contributions to mining, operations, maintenance, supervision, and other technical activities. This event was attended by senior officials from SECL, including directors, trade union representatives, HoDs, officers, and employees from SECL’s operating areas.
In addition to the regular workers, sanitation workers were also felicitated as part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva Special Campaign 6.0. The recognition highlighted their significant role in maintaining clean and well-organized workplaces and upholding the dignity of work. As part of this campaign, SECL has set targets for cleanliness, waste management, space optimization, and record management.
SECL aims to achieve these objectives by focusing on effective collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste across its establishments during Special Campaign 6.0. The campaign will also target the review of physical and digital files, with plans to close a significant number of files.
