Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced plans to provide farmers with more hours of daytime power for irrigation, promote milk production and animal husbandry, and encourage modern and organic farming.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that farmers in Madhya Pradesh will be provided with 10 hours of daytime power for irrigation to boost agricultural productivity.
The state government is also focusing on increasing farmers' incomes by encouraging milk production and animal husbandry. To further promote modern farming, improved seeds will be provided to farmers.
In addition, efforts will be made to bring Narmada water to the Satna belt for irrigation purposes, expand irrigation areas through canals, and implement the Ken-Betwa Link Project to provide more water to the Mandakini River. This is expected to enhance agricultural production in the region.
Turmeric, which is abundant in the Satna region, will also be encouraged for cultivation as a means of income diversification for farmers.
During the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav organised at the Krishi Mandi premises in Satna, Chief Minister Yadav interacted with progressive farmers and appreciated their efforts. He encouraged other farmers to take up animal husbandry and dairy activities alongside agriculture.
