Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced a series of initiatives aimed at increasing agricultural production and farmer income in the Satna region. These measures include providing 10 hours of daytime power for irrigation, encouraging animal husbandry, promoting modern farming, and expanding irrigation areas.

In an address at the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav in Satna, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that farmers in the region will be provided with 10 hours of daytime power for irrigation purposes.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the state government's commitment to increasing farmers' incomes and making agriculture more remunerative. To achieve this goal, he proposed promoting milk production, encouraging animal husbandry, and providing improved seeds for modern and organic farming.

He further stated that the government will ensure the procurement of paddy produced by farmers in the state. The Chief Minister also highlighted the abundant turmeric production in Satna and encouraged farmers to diversify their crops, particularly focusing on spice cultivation for increased income opportunities.

Narmada water will be brought to the Satna belt for irrigation purposes, and efforts will be made to expand the irrigation area through canals. The Ken-Betwa Link Project is also being undertaken to bring water to the Mandakini River, which aims to boost agricultural production in the region.

During the event, Dr. Yadav interacted with progressive farmers such as Shri Shantinayaran Pandey, who shared details about his milk processing unit, and Shri Anil Upadhyay, an advocate of organic farming.
