Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 newly recruited youth through video conferencing. Union Minister Dr. L Murugan participated in a Rozgar Mela in Chennai and distributed appointment letters to 285 candidates.
On September 19, 2026 at 8:02PM, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the 20th Rozgar Mela held at various locations across India. Through a video conferencing session, he distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 newly recruited youth. Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L Murugan, participated in the Rozgar Mela held at D.G Vaishnav College, Chennai where he distributed appointment letters to 285 newly recruited candidates selected for various Central Government Ministries, Departments, and organisations. The Minister urged the recruits to view their roles not just as employment but as an opportunity to serve the nation and contribute to its holistic development. He emphasized that honesty, accountability, empathy, and a humane approach towards the public should remain integral to public service. Dr Murugan highlighted various flagship initiatives of the Government, including Make in India, Start-up India, Stand-up India, MUDRA loan scheme, which have enabled youth to emerge as job creators. He also pointed out that the number of startups in the country has increased significantly and unemployment rate has declined due to these initiatives.
