The Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) has started preparations for the Special Campaign 6.0, focusing on reducing pendency, improving records management, and promoting 'Ease of Rules' initiatives.

In accordance with the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 6.0) launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on September 16, 2026, DoPPW has initiated the preparatory phase for the campaign scheduled to begin on October 2, 2026. The main objectives during this phase include identifying targets for activities such as pendency reduction, records management, and institutionalization of Swachhata. The primary focus during the main campaign will be on minimizing pendency, strengthening internal monitoring mechanisms, improving records management practices, and reinforcing 'Ease of Rules' initiatives for pensioners' Ease of Living.

The DoPPW, in collaboration with Central Government Pensioners' Associations, has identified 21 cleanliness sites across the nation to be addressed during the campaign. During the preparatory phase, Joint Secretary (Pension) has inspected all these identified sites and urged all officials to make significant efforts towards achieving targets during the campaign period.

As part of the 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' programme, Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS (PP), along with Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary (Pension) and other DoPPW officials, will participate in a plantation drive at CSOI Vinay Marg Sports Complex, New Delhi on October 1, 2026.
