The Defence Ministry has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Nampibou Marinmai, who served as PRO Defence at DPR headquarters and Director, DD News Mizoram. Along with senior IIS officer Dr Engam Pame, ADG, PIB Imphal, and another government official, Marinmai lost his life in a road accident near Aizawl.
The Ministry will remember Marinmai's dedicated service as PRO Defence and his long-standing association with defence reporting with deep respect. The Ministry acknowledged Marinmai’s committed coverage of the Defence Forces, stating that his contribution to bringing their stories and achievements closer to the public will remain valued.
