Shri Manoj Goyal, Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), purchases Khadi products and launches a special discount sale nationwide as part of the Prime Minister's initiatives.
On October 2, 2026, Shri Manoj Goyal, Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), demonstrated his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi' and 'Vocal for Local' initiatives by purchasing Khadi products at Gramodyog Bhawan and launching a special discount sale. The nationwide campaign includes Khadi Bhawan at Connaught Place in New Delhi and will run from October 2 to November 16, 2026.
During the media address, Shri Goyal emphasized KVIC's commitment to promoting the Prime Minister's 'Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi' call among the masses and particularly the youth. He stated that under PM Modi's leadership, Khadi has gained a new dimension and is becoming a powerful medium for achieving self-reliance, local production, and sustainable development.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a special discount campaign was initiated across the country. The discount will be available up to 20% on Khadi products and 10% on village industry products during this period. Shri Goyal reiterated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Khadi has made unprecedented progress.
Shri Goyal highlighted that in the financial year 2025-26, the sector recorded a turnover of over Rs 1.87 lakh crore and provided employment to more than 2.04 crore people.
