The city of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh is set to host grand celebrations on January 15, 2027, under the theme ‘Aapki Sena Aapke Paas’ (Your Army, at Your Doorstep). The celebrations will feature a main parade, military exhibition, and integrated combat display. Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh is expected to attend these events.
Senior Army officers, including Lt. General Arvind Chauhan and Major General Vikas Lal, met with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Samatva Bhawan to discuss the proposed events and preparations. The officers invited Dr. Yadav to the programme, to which he agreed, assuring the state government’s full cooperation in making the celebrations dignified and memorable.
In addition to the main parade along Kalibari Road in the BHEL area, other events include a Sankalp Tree plantation programme at Shaurya Smarak on November 1, 2026, a military exhibition, an integrated combat demonstration in January 2027, a patriotic evening programme, and displays of the Indian Army’s advanced military equipment.
Approximately 50,000 representatives are expected to attend the main parade and related events, with preparations underway, focusing on adequate arrangements and promoting youth and citizen participation. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Neeraj Mandloi was present during the meeting.
