Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav invited seven countries to participate as Partner Countries in the Global Investors Summit (GIS-2027) scheduled in Bhopal, with an aim to deepen investment and trade relationships.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has extended invitations to Japan, Mexico, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and South Africa to participate as Partner Countries in the Global Investors Summit (GIS-2027), scheduled to take place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, in January 2027. The summit aims to strengthen investment and trade partnerships with these countries through concrete projects.
The Chief Minister addressed a roundtable meeting in Mumbai with Consuls General and diplomatic representatives from each of the seven invited countries, where he listened to their suggestions. He stated that these suggestions would be taken to Bhopal.
Dr. Yadav also mentioned that delegations from these countries will be hosted at a dinner and introduced to various aspects of Madhya Pradesh tailored to their areas of interest such as the industrial potential of Pithampur or the cultural heritage of Sanchi.
Since the Global Investors Summit-2025, investment proposals worth more than ₹8.5 lakh crore have moved to the implementation stage in Madhya Pradesh, as stated by Dr. Yadav. He emphasized that GIS-2027 would similarly focus on ensuring that commitments made at the summit translate into projects on the ground.
The Chief Minister also recalled his interaction with several diplomatic representatives in Mumbai last year and said Madhya Pradesh has continued to strengthen its engagement with countries across the world, with plans to expand these partnerships further in the coming year.
