Dr. Mohan Yadav discusses the size, diversity of wildlife, ongoing conservation efforts and rehabilitation projects in Madhya Pradesh's Kanha National Park and Kuno National Park.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during a media interaction at Kanha Kisli in Mandla district on Monday, emphasized the importance of Kanha National Park, not only as the largest national park in India but also in the entire Asian continent.

The park, encompassing vast expanses of dense forests, is teeming with a rich variety of wildlife. Dr. Yadav urged wildlife enthusiasts, tourists, and citizens alike to visit Kanha National Park to witness the harmonious coexistence between wild animals like tigers, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, and others with their natural surroundings.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the success of ongoing conservation projects in Madhya Pradesh. He mentioned the cheetah reintroduction project at Kuno National Park in Sheopur district under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, which is reportedly progressing with great success.

Dr. Yadav also shared details about the wild buffalo rehabilitation project in Madhya Pradesh, a collaboration with Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma's government. On Sunday, six female and eight male wild buffaloes were released into their natural habitat in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also pointed out the increasing populations of tigers, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, gharials, and vultures within the state's forests. He expressed that the state's wildlife is significantly contributing to Madhya Pradesh's status as a tourist destination.

Dr. Yadav also emphasized the continuous efforts made by the Madhya Pradesh government in conserving forests, wildlife, and natural resources to protect the state's biodiversity and preserve its natural heritage for future generations.
