Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announces plans for a 600-km industrial corridor connecting Jabalpur, Bhopal and Indore to drive growth in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the development of the 600-km Jabalpur-Bhopal-Indore Integrated Industrial Corridor, aiming to foster industrial growth across Madhya Pradesh's eastern, central and western regions. The project is expected to accelerate development in seven districts and adjoining areas by integrating industry, agriculture, logistics, technology, and services.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during a felicitation programme at Samvad Bhawan, his official residence, on Friday. Representatives from the Mahakaushal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jabalpur's industrial sector, and various business organisations were present.
Land identification and master planning are scheduled to be completed within three to six months, with industrial zones and essential infrastructure expected to follow over the next six to twelve months. The state government aims to develop 10,000 acres of industrial land, attract investment worth ₹1 lakh crore, and generate more than 3 lakh direct and indirect jobs by March 2028.
Each region will benefit differently: Jabalpur is envisioned as a major centre for engineering, defence manufacturing, aerospace ancillaries, food processing, and logistics. Narsinghpur and Raisen districts will focus on agricultural processing and food parks. Bhopal will be developed as a hub for technology, electronics, IT, knowledge services, and shared business infrastructure.
Sehore-Dewas will see opportunities in food processing and warehousing, while Indore will attract investment in IT, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and other sectors. The project aims to provide essential infrastructure, including electricity, water, and roads, making Madhya Pradesh an attractive investment destination.
