
The Punjab Police apprehended 17 individuals, including three women, in connection with a low-intensity grenade attack at Moga Police Station on July 8th. Further investigation revealed they were planning to plant an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a train running from Ferozepur to Jammu.
The Punjab Police have thwarted a possible terror conspiracy by arresting 17 accused persons, including three women. They were involved in the low-intensity grenade attack at Police Station Sadar Moga on the early morning of July 8th.
Recoveries from their possession include an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), explosive material, electronic detonator, and one sophisticated pistol along with a magazine. All the accused including the three main executors, who executed the grenade attack, have been identified. The arrested individuals are residents of both Ferozepur and Moga.
Punjab Police DG, Gaurav Yadav disclosed that preliminary investigation has revealed that the UK-based mastermind directed the accused to carry out the grenade attack at Moga Police Station. They were also planning to plant an IED in a train running from Ferozepur to Jammu. Further investigation is underway.
