During a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi emphasized that elections are the only constitutional means to change governments, discussed India's economic growth amid global challenges, and launched the Run for Unity to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi reiterated the importance of elections as the only constitutional and democratic means of changing governments in India during a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur. He condemned the opposition parties' narrative on regime change as negative propaganda, asserting that the people of the country possess the ability to choose their government through their voting rights. The Minister also alleged that the opposition parties question the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls out of political frustration. On the economic front, Mr Joshi highlighted India's growing strength amidst global challenges, with expanding infrastructure and manufacturing sectors. Over the past nearly 12 years, the number of startups in India has increased from 260 to more than 2 lakh 40 thousand. Despite facing numerous challenges globally, India remains one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
Later in the day, Mr Joshi, along with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, flagged off the Run for Unity in Jaipur to mark the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On the occasion, he emphasized the country's progress towards the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat and Viksit Bharat. He underscored Sardar Patel’s exceptional leadership and historic contribution in bringing together more than 500 princely states to create an integrated and united nation.
