Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares a Sanskrit verse stressing the influence of persistent practice on one's character and life direction.
On July 24, 2026, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi posted a Sanskrit Subhashitam to his official Twitter account, emphasizing the significance of continuous practice through actions, thoughts, and words in shaping one's character and life direction. The verse reads:
कर्मणा मनसा वाचा यदभीक्ष्णं निषेवते।
tदेवापहरत्येनं तस्मात् कल्याणमाचरेत्॥
The translation of the verse is: 'Whatever a person continuously practices through their actions, thoughts, and words ultimately shapes their personality and draws them in that very direction; therefore, one should always give space only to beneficial subjects in one's thoughts and conversations.'
