The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has published a report on the quality of mobile network services provided by Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) in parts of Lohit district and along National Highway (NH)-13 under North-East LSA. The drive test, conducted in September 2026, aimed to assess and verify real-time performance of TSPs for key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as Coverage, Call Drop Rate (CDR), Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR), data Download (DL) and Upload (UL) throughput, etc. The test was designed to capture on-ground mobile network performance across diverse usage environments like cities, hotspots, public transport hubs, etc., using SIM cards from all TSPs over 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.
