The Common Room (CJP) has withdrawn its agitation following a meeting with Union Ministers where the government agreed to halt legal action against protesters, provide compensation to affected families, and consider a charter for examination reforms.

On Monday, during the third round of discussions between Union Ministers J P Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh, and the CJP delegation, the government agreed to the demands put forth by the protesters. The meeting focused on reforms in the examination system and measures to prevent paper leaks. According to Mr. Nadda, no legal action will be taken against the protesters, and any existing FIRs related to the agitation will be withdrawn.

Regarding the NEET UG paper leak, which led to several suicides among students, the government has expressed sympathy and promised to provide maximum compensation as per rules and regulations to affected families. Additionally, the government will consider a five-point charter presented by the CJP for examination reforms.

CJP's chief spokesperson, Saurav Das, announced the withdrawal of the agitation in good faith, expressing hope that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timelines. CJP’s national spokesperson, Ashutosh Ranka, appealed to all protesters to withdraw immediately and return home peacefully.
