On August 6th, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, encouraged citizens to celebrate National Handloom Day on the 7th of August by showcasing and promoting India's diverse handloom traditions. He specifically requested sharing videos featuring favorite handloom products, including GRWM videos on social media platforms such as Instagram (X). The Prime Minister posted a message on Twitter stating: 'Tomorrow, 7th August is National Handloom Day. Let’s make India’s handloom diversity popular.' He further urged citizens not to forget to use the hashtag #NationalHandloomDay in their social media posts.
The Prime Minister's call aims to promote and popularize India's rich handloom heritage.
