The upcoming India Energy Week (IEW) 2027 will focus on Compressed Biogas (CBG) technologies and solutions, offering Maharashtra opportunities to present its energy projects, investment pipeline, and policy priorities to a global audience.
During a State-level workshop held in Mumbai on October 22, 2026, it was announced that the upcoming India Energy Week (IEW) 2027 will emphasize Compressed Biogas (CBG) technologies and solutions. Organized by BPCL, the event brings together State Government representatives, designated nodal organization BPCL, and industry stakeholders to discuss opportunities and measures for the CBG sector's development.
The workshop in Mumbai focused on implementing the GOBARdhan Scheme, the Model State CBG Policy, and the SASCI 2026–27 framework. The outreach initiative is timed as India advances efforts to strengthen energy security, diversify its energy mix, and promote indigenous energy resources.
CBG, produced from organic waste and other biodegradable feedstocks, offers opportunities to support cleaner energy production, improve waste management, and create value from locally available resources. IEW 2027 will provide a platform for Maharashtra to showcase its energy projects, investment pipeline, and policy priorities.
Maharashtra is central to the evolving energy landscape with a significant presence across upstream oil and gas, refining, natural gas infrastructure, and renewable energy. The state can leverage IEW 2027 to build partnerships, access technology, financing, and explore opportunities to scale projects in renewable energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, and CBG.
India Energy Week 2027 will take place from 28–31 January 2027 at the New Town Convention Centre, Kolkata, India.
