Heavy rainfall on Friday night resulted in flash floods in Dibang Valley district, causing five army personnel to go missing. A separate landslide in Upper Subansiri district led to the death of four individuals.

Heavy rainfall on Friday night in Arunachal Pradesh's Dibang Valley district triggered flash floods that swept away two shelters of the 5th Grenadier at Pasu Pani Camp, resulting in five army personnel going missing. According to reports from Press Trust of India (PTI), the missing individuals are identified as Upendar, Kundan, Vinod, Aditya, and Samunda.

Two of the missing personnel have been rescued. A combined team of members from the Army, Indo-Tibetan Police Force, Arunachal Police, State Disaster Response Force, and the General Reserve Engineer Force are actively engaged in rescue operations to locate the remaining individuals.

Separately, a landslide occurred at the Keojaring-Byaching road cutting site in Upper Subansiri district, resulting in the death of four individuals – Tadu Baki, Taji Rai, Markosh Basumatari, and Babul Ali. Personnel from Nacho Police Station, the fire services, and the State Disaster Response Force have been deployed for search and rescue operations.
