Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced several initiatives for Madhya Pradesh, including a talent hunt campaign to identify sporting talent among children aged 5 to 15 years, increasing green energy production to 50%, developing industrial clusters under the BHAVYA scheme, and more.
In his address, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh will make its maximum possible contribution towards fulfilling the resolutions announced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from the Red Fort on Independence Day. One such initiative is a talent hunt campaign to identify sporting talent among children aged 5 to 15 years. Their talent will be assessed, and selected children will subsequently be provided specialised training to develop them into accomplished sportspersons.
Yadav also highlighted the need for increasing green energy production in Madhya Pradesh, which currently stands at 30%. The State has set a target of increasing this share to 50% over the next year. To achieve this goal, the government will focus on harnessing renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.
In terms of industrial development, Yadav reviewed proposals for developing 11 industrial clusters under the BHAVYA scheme. These clusters are aimed at promoting industrial development across the country, with Madhya Pradesh ranking second in the number of proposals among participating states.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced that over the next one year, 1 crore youth will be trained in AI skills, enabling them to develop the capabilities required to lead in the world of artificial intelligence. A major 100-week campaign for a drug-free India will also be undertaken with the participation of spiritual leaders, volunteers, social workers and others.
A vibrant civil defence network will be established, along with a large volunteer force to protect citizens from modern-day emergencies and crises. Chief Minister Dr Yadav addressed the Cabinet ahead of the meeting.
Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in the country in implementing several ambitious beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Central Government. The State has achieved another major accomplishment during the agricultural year, with Dindori district securing the first position in the country under the PM Dhan-Dhaanya Agriculture Implementation Scheme.
