The Supreme Court has taken action in a case involving allegations of irregularities in appointments made through the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and Justice V. Mohanan issued notices to the Jharkhand government and other respondents in response to a petition filed by Harisharan Devgan seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter. It is important to note that the Jharkhand High Court has already stayed the state government’s decision to cancel the JPSC examination, directing the state government to file its response by September 15th. This ruling came as a relief to those who had been awaiting the results of the JPSC examination. Meanwhile, student leader Devendra Nath Mahato has announced the launch of the JPSC-JSSC Recruitment System Reform Yatra from today, saying the campaign will cover all districts of Jharkhand and seek reforms in the recruitment process. In another development, Ranchi Police have begun an investigation into the X account of the JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum and have issued a notice to X Corp’s legal cell seeking details of the account operator.
