More than 2,300 H1N1, or swine flu, cases have been reported in Delhi this year, according to the city's Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh. Officials held a review meeting to assess preparations for seasonal influenza and vector-borne diseases.

According to reports by PTI, over 3,000 influenza cases have been detected in Delhi this year, with more than 2,300 being H1N1, or swine flu. This information was shared by Delhi's Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Tuesday during a review meeting held by officials from the health department, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the New Delhi Municipal Council, and the Delhi Cantonment Board. The purpose of the meeting was to assess arrangements and preparedness for seasonal influenza and vector-borne diseases in the national capital. Vector-borne diseases are illnesses caused by parasites, viruses, or bacteria that are transmitted to humans through living organisms known as vectors.

At a press conference following the meeting, Singh stated that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has called for an emergency review meeting. Singh also assured that there is no shortage of doctors, staff, or medicines in the city, and everything is under control.

H1N1 typically causes symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache, body aches, and tiredness. People experiencing a prolonged high fever, difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or a deterioration in their condition are advised to seek medical care.
