During a visit to a government school in Lanji, Balaghat district, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav interacted with students and assured them that their wish for the school to be converted into a Sandipani Vidyalaya would be granted.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Government Excellence Higher Secondary School in Lanji, Balaghat district, on August 29 as part of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. During the visit, girl students tied rakhis on his wrist and expressed their wish for the school to be converted into a Sandipani Vidyalaya. The Chief Minister assured them that their wish would be fulfilled.
While interacting with students, Dr. Yadav explained that Class 10 students were visibly excited to have the Chief Minister among them. He asked them about their studies, interests and future goals. During a Chemistry class, he appreciated a girl student who answered that sodium catches fire when placed in water.
A girl student asked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav why CM Rise Schools had been named Sandipani Vidyalayas. Responding to her question, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the schools were named Sandipani Vidyalayas after Maharishi Sandipani, the guru of Lord Krishna and his friend Sudama.
He explained that, like Guru Sandipani’s ashram, these schools provide equal and quality education to children from all sections of society without any discrimination, irrespective of their economic background. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spent time with the students and also took photographs with them. He said he was delighted to see their enthusiasm, confidence and interest in education.
