Shri Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to the Prime Minister, spearheaded a significant review meeting at Koyla Bhawan, the headquarters of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), on August 31, 2026. The meeting marked the beginning of his two-day official visit to Dhanbad and other key locations in the region.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, Shri Kapoor visited notable BCCL projects at Moonidih and the ENA Fire Project in Kusunda Area. He also interacted with families from high-risk areas.
During the review meeting, key operational activities, achievements, challenges, and future action plans of BCCL were discussed. The company’s Chairman, Coal India Limited, Shri B. Sairam, CMD, BCCL, Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Smt. Alaknanda Dayal, Project Advisor, Ministry of Coal, Shri Alok Kumar Singh, and other senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
CMD, BCCL, Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal presented an overview of the company’s operational activities, key achievements, challenges, and future action plans. Director (Technical/Operations), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, delivered a detailed presentation on BCCL’s operational performance, strategic initiatives, and future plans.
