Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in a significant step towards developing clean, reliable, and affordable energy in Madhya Pradesh, signed an MoU between Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for three green energy projects under the Department of New and Renewable Energy in Madhya Pradesh. The agreement was made during a ceremony at Samatva Bhawan at the Chief Minister’s Residence.
The MoU is part of the Transaction Advisory Services Agreement (TASA), which will facilitate ADB's provision of free advisory services to RUMSL for these projects.
Under TASA, preparations are underway for three projects in Madhya Pradesh. As part of this initiative, an MoU has been signed with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited for a 278 MW Omkareshwar Phase project, along with a floating solar project under the PM Surya Sarovar Scheme.
RUMSL has extensive experience in developing floating solar projects and has developed one of India’s largest floating solar projects. An additional reservoir area and the required infrastructure for 300 MW are also available at Omkareshwar.
