The Defence Accounts Department has successfully normalized all discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Navy (IN), achieving a 100% normalization rate.
On September 15, 2026, the Defence Accounts Department (DAD) announced a significant milestone in the normalization of discrepant pension cases on SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha). Through a focused and concentrated approach, the department has successfully normalized all 1,45,182 discrepant cases pertaining to the IAF and IN.
The number of cases normalized are as follows:
– Indian Air Force: 1,12,638 cases – 100%
– Indian Navy: 32,544 cases – 100%
Simultaneously, the Department has made substantial progress in normalizing discrepant cases pertaining to the Indian Army. Out of a total of 3,94,779 discrepant cases, 3,90,336 cases, constituting 98.8%, have already been normalized on SPARSH.
The achievement is a reflection of the dedication, coordinated efforts and result-oriented approach of DAD, particularly the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) [PCDA (Pension)] towards strengthening the SPARSH ecosystem.
